The wiring harness is not that difficult to trace down. Check the color and stripe on the wire near the bulb connector, and if your car was built like mine the wiring harness runs down the left (driver's) side of the vehicle. My assumption would be that you 1st want hyper-flash to indicate it thinks a bulb is out, and then further qualify that there is an LED in there so the amp draw would be different. (not sure if that makes enough sense).The only way to be sure is to change the setting and test it out.

Check that the new bulb is ok , then with a volt meter check there is 12 volts at the bulb holder terminal and the metal car body , if ok check voltage from bulb holder terminal to the brake light metal earth.
