If the value is less than -0.2 ms there is an air restriction or too. 5. Rough Idle. A bad spark plug may cause your engine to sound rough while idling. The vehicle-encompassing, jittery sound will also cause your vehicle to vibrate. It can indicate a spark plug problem in which a cylinder misfires only while idle. 6. Hard to Start. If you have trouble starting your vehicle, it could be a sign your spark plugs With a condition such as this, it is normal for it to run rougher when electrical components are tuned on and it is normal for a car to run rough when the idle is to low. My first instinct here is to clean the throttle body, fully warm the car, connect a scanner, and command the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve to move the idle high and low to see When the car is idle (either in Park, or in drive with the brakes engaded), there is a very subtle shake to the car. I can feel the vibrations. The car idles at about ~ 700 rpm. (It goes from 683 to 717 and changes.. it should be like this?) I replaced spark plugs (ngk) and engine mounts (febi), it still shakes and I really don't think this is So I have a 2007 bmw 328i Coupe sports package 6 speed and engine been shaking for quite a while car currently got 200k miles & no codes pop up with the scanner passed smog already cleaned the vanos solenoids changed the motor mounts and it still shakes pretty bad not sure what it can be if anyone can help me with suggestions I'll appreciate it BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum > BMW E90/E92/E93 3-series General Forums > General E90 Sedan / E91 Wagon / E92 Coupe / E93 Cabrio > Car is shaking/vibrating when it's idle, was told I need to replace VONOs Clearly, the car needs to display the rough idle while you perform these tests. Pull the cover so you can see the coil packs. Unplug the connectors one coil at a time. If the idle gets worse, that cylinder is functioning. If the idle is unchanged, the associated cylinder is not functioning. 10 posts · Joined 2009. #3 · Nov 12, 2009. try this it's easy to do only 5 minutes and solved all your rough idle and check engine light problems on your (2000-2009) later or newer yes! all BMW E60, X3, X5, 325i,330i,335i,525i,528i,530i,535i, check out the manifold adjuster Google this up. That appears to have been the problem the whole time. However, above that threshold, the phase of the output shifts 180 degrees; that is, the response is the opposite of the input (input down, response up), so they partially cancel each other out. This is why a laundry machine jumps as it spins up, but becomes more stable the faster it spins. I'd bet that the auto engineers designed the engine

Over time, the constant exposure to heat, carbon deposits, or age can cause the sensor to fail. When the oxygen sensor fails, the vehicle’s computer receives inaccurate information and may cause the engine to run too rich or too lean resulting in rough idle conditions. 6. Motor Mounts. Motor mounts keep your engine attached to the car.
